Riverstone opens first London residence

Riverstone Kensington

Riverstone has opened its first residence in Kensington, London, with The Good Care Group providing support to residents if needed.

The city development, which offers apartments for sale, has a 24/7 concierge service, fitness studio featuring E-GYM equipment, vitality pool, spa and treatment rooms and gardens by designer Andy Sturgeon. It also offers a club room, private cinema, library and bar.

One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments each have an outdoor terrace, fitted wardrobes, utility and storage areas, while bathrooms feature walk-in showers, slip resistant tiles and easy to use taps and controls. Apartments have also been designed so they can be modified to suit changing requirements.

In addition to the purchase costs for leasehold apartments, residents pay a monthly membership fee that is fixed for the duration of ownership.

‘Later living is being redefined. We are living longer and are demanding more from life,’ said Penny Hughes, Riverstone chair. ‘Riverstone is spearheading this movement through the delivery of exceptional individual and community living. We are the only prime central London offering of its kind, and we are excited to welcome our first residents to our Kensington residence.

‘Our prime focus is offering exquisite apartments with exceptional amenities that are an extension of your home, offering the very best in London living for people over 65.’

Riverstone Fulham, on the north bank of the Thames, is due to open in late summer. In April, it acquired a third site in Hampstead Heath.

Earlier this month, Riverstone appointed Martin Earp as its chief executive officer to lead the next phase of the company’s expansion.
