The funds, which also saw a contribution from investment firm ADV, will be used to support the NHS through the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Following this funding round, Push Doctor is now valued at £60m, an increase of its valuation at the end of 2019 of £48m.
Since its partnership with the NHS the number of people accessing Push Doctor’s services has more than doubled to 5.4 million since March.
Push Doctor is also launching a partnership with Well Pharmacy which will see the company’s digital pharmacy first platform offer consultations to NHS patients in Plymouth.
This latest investment follows three previous funding rounds from 2015 – 2017 which raised a total of £28.7m from backers Draper Esprit, Oxford Capital Partners, ADV, Partech Ventures and Seventure Partners.
Wais Shaifta, chief executive of Push Doctor, said: ‘At Push Doctor, we are in a privileged position to be able to provide a service that can make life easier for both GPs and patients.
‘We want to continue and deepen the support we’ve already been providing throughout the pandemic, to help the NHS and patients emerge even stronger from Covid-19.
‘We are proud to be playing our part in helping our National Health Service through this challenging period and these funds will be put to work in scaling-up the NHS’s digital offering at a critical time in its existence.’
