Sweden: Ambea buys six care units from LSS Omsorgen

Ambea, the largest care provider in the Nordic region, has acquired six care units from care group LSS Omsorgen. The acquisition includes five LSS residential facilities and a daily activity centre for people with autism spectrum disorders. 

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Via its Nytida arm, it has acquired the companies LSS Omsorgen Cypressen AB and LSS Omsorgen Björken AB, which are active in Tanumshede and the region of Mälardalen.

The operations include 72 beds/placements and about 80 employees. Revenues for 2019/2020 were SKr53m (US$6.4m).

At the beginning of February, Ambea acquired the care operations of EKKOfonden, one of Denmark’s largest providers of social care for young people and adults.
