IHH Healthcare, the region’s largest healthcare company, has appointed Joerg Ayrle as its group chief financial officer (CFO).
He replaces Low Soon Teck who stepped down after four years in the role in June. Ayrle will take up the position in February.
He joins from seafood manufacturer Thai Union Group where he spent almost seven years as its CFO and member of the executive committee.
Prior to the Thai Union Group, Ayrle spent more than ten years at German industrial manufacturing company Siemens, starting out as a management consultant until making his way up to CFO of mobile phones for Asia and then finally managing director of M&A in Asia.
IHH Healthcare recently announced its takeover of Indian major Fortis Healthcare and has taken a significant step forward after the board agreed to change the name and branding of Fortis and its subsidiaries.
The company has chosen to use the name Parkway and will no longer use Fortis, La Femme and SRL going forward.
